Abstract: An assembly for weed cutting in the inter-furrow of both extensive and intensive crops, including a main body that operates in a horizontal plane with three mounted propellers. One propeller remains fixed at its central location, while the other two have radial movement that can be manually or computer-controlled and can be positioned in front of or behind the fixed propeller. All three propellers are driven by a motor, independent of the forward movement of the machine or agricultural implement to which it is attached via the front tool bar through components forming a parallelogram. This setup facilitates weed cutting in the inter-furrow of crops and ensures soil surface protection by incorporating two linearly arranged leveling wheels.

Abstract: An automated computer-controlled sampling system and related methods for collecting, processing, and analyzing agricultural samples for various chemical properties such as plant available nutrients. The sampling system allows multiple samples to be processed and analyzed for different analytes or chemical properties in a simultaneous concurrent or semi-concurrent manner. Advantageously, the system can process soil samples in the “as collected” condition without drying or grinding. The system generally includes a sample preparation sub-system which receives soil samples collected by a probe collection sub-system and produces a slurry (i.e. mixture of soil, vegetation, and/or manure and water), and a chemical analysis sub-system which processes the prepared slurry samples for quantifying multiple analytes and/or chemical properties of the sample. The sample preparation and chemical analysis sub-systems can be used to analyze soil, vegetation, and/or other samples.

Abstract: Large, pliable/flexible bags are widely used for collecting and discarding garden and lawn debris. Unfortunately, these bags alone make it very difficult for a single worker to both hold open the bag and deposit debris into the bag at the same time. Attempts have been made to provide frames for supporting an open bag to help a single user rake leaves and debris into a bag by him/herself; none have ever been created to blow leaves and other debris directly into a bag with a powered leaf blower—the device in this patent application is designed to do just that. Very significantly, the present invention is a foldable/collapsible self-contained fully assembled frame (hereinafter “the frame”) for the attachment of a perforated bag thereby requiring no additional add-on or separate frame parts to both fully function and to fold up for convenient storage, packaging, and transportability.

Compared with a traditional alcohol-brewing sorghum planting method, the method of the present invention can effectively bring forward the planting time of alcohol-brewing sorghum, reduce the sowing amount of alcohol-brewing sorghum, assist in increasing the germination rate of alcohol-brewing sorghum, and promote the growth and development of alcohol-brewing sorghum; moreover, the method of the present invention effectively reduces the labor intensity and cost of a weeding operation in field management.

Abstract: An irrigation device and kit are provided comprising a water collection means having at least one inlet, a body having at least one outlet, an adapter to secure the body to the water collection means, and a gasket comprising a filter. The water collection means extends above the soil's surface and has a cap, the at least one inlet, and a collector. The body has a first and second end separated by a sidewall to define a reservoir in communication with the water collection means, any of which may extend below the soil surface. Water collected above the soil's surface may be transported from the water collection means through the filter to the reservoir and distributed through the at least one outlet disposed on the sidewall to the root system.
