  • Patent number: 12293761
Abstract: A voice input apparatus includes first to third microphones and a controller. The first microphone collects a voice at a first position outside an ear canal of a speaker, and outputs a first input voice signal. The second microphone collects a voice at a second position outside the ear canal of the speaker and closer to a mouth of the speaker than the first position, and outputs a second input voice signal. The third microphone collects a voice inside the ear canal of the speaker, and outputs a third input voice signal. The controller detects a sound pressure of the first input voice signal, sets reflection degrees of the second and third input voice signals according to the detected sound pressure, and generates an output voice signal including at least one of the second and third input voice signals based on the reflection degrees.

  • Patent number: 12294825
Abstract: Ear buds may have sensors to gather orientation information such as accelerometer measurements during user movements. A host electronic device may communicate wirelessly with the ear buds and may form part of an ear bud system that supplies the user with coaching and feedback while evaluating user performance of a head movement routine or other exercise routine. During operation, the ear buds may gather accelerometer data in a first reference frame such as a reference frame associated with the ear buds and may use a rotation matrix to rotate the data in the first reference frame into a second reference frame such as a neutral reference frame with a fixed orientation to the earth. The data in the neutral reference frame may be analyzed using a user head pose look-up table to categorize measured user head positions as corresponding to respective user head poses.

  • Patent number: 12276741
Abstract: A system configured to determine an estimated angle of arrival in reverberant environments. When a first device detects a calibration tone generated by a second device, the first device may generate multichannel audio representing the calibration tone and process the multichannel audio using a combination of detection filtering and subspace processing to determine a relative direction of the second device. For example, the first device may perform matched filtering to isolate a direct-path peak for the calibration tone, and then may sweep through all potential azimuth directions to identify an azimuth value corresponding to the direct-path peak. In some examples, the first device identifies a steering vector associated with a particular direction (e.g., signal subspace) that minimizes components in all other directions (e.g., noise subspace).

Abstract: Implementations relate to determination and display of estimated hold durations for calls. In some implementations, a computer-implemented method includes obtaining an identifier of a target entity, the identifier usable by a first call device to initiate a call between the first call device and the target entity. A hold duration is determined that is an estimated amount of time before the call is matched to a human agent when the call is initiated at a particular time that is prospective to a current time. The hold duration is determined based on previous calls between one or more call devices and the target entity. The hold duration is provided for display by the first call device prior to the initiation of the call between the first call device and the target entity.
