Abstract: A quick change towing hitch attaches directly to existing, standard towing ball ports on a towing vehicle without the need for special adaptors. The hitch furnishes a pair of differently sized tow balls which can be quickly indexed into position, as needed, without the use of tools.

Abstract: A pair of parallel elongated flexible panel portions embracingly receive a pair of flat matchbook bundles therebetween with the bundles arranged with the end ends of the bundles spaced apart and the base ends of the bundles extending in opposite directions, the bundle base ends being secured between corresponding ends of the panels. The head ends of the bundles are spaced apart sufficiently to enable the longitudinal midportions of the panels to be appreciably bowed away from each other and opposite marginal edges of the midportions of the panel members have outwardly opening notches formed therein.

Abstract: A pair of spaced apart, upright and adjacent fence posts are provided having upper and lower end portions and their lower end portions embedded in the ground. An upper horizontal brace extends between and is anchored to the upper end portions of the posts at an elevation spaced appreciably above the ground and a pair of guides are anchored relative to the posts at generally ground level. A pair of elongated inclined braces have their lower ends slidingly engaged with the guides and their upper ends anchored to the longitudinal mid-portion of the horizontal brace. The guides and the lower ends of the inclined braces include co-acting structure releasably locking the lower ends of the inclined braces in adjusted shifted positions relative to the guides.

Abstract: A chair support for a concrete reinforcing bar is formed from smaller and larger molded plastic elements each in the form of a letter A with diverging legs, and upper cross member, and a lower cross member. The smaller element fits through the opening of the larger element and locks in place perpendicularly to the larger element by interengaging notches in the respective cross members.

Abstract: An impact puller and installer of the type including a support shaft having an enlarged abutment on one end and an enlarged adapter on the other end is provided. A combined handgrip and impact member is slidably mounted on the shaft between the abutment and the adapter for selective impact therewith and the end of the adapter remote from the abutment includes an externally threaded end portion for threaded engagement within a central bore formed in a disc to be pulled or installed. A second adapter is provided and is in the form of an elongated sleeve having a threaded bore formed therethrough including an enlarged counterbore at one end.

Abstract: A table construction is provided including an upper peripheral frame and the support legs dependingly supported from peripherally spaced portions of the frame. At least three table top sections are supported from the frame and mounted thereover for guided movement relative thereto along an equal number of generally straight paths extending generally radially of a vertical axis extending centrally through the frame. The table top sections are displaceable along the paths between inner and outer positions and include predetermined outwardly facing marginal portions equipped with upwardly projecting curbs together effectively defining a continuous marginal curb about the top of the table construction within whose boundary a plurality of co-planar panel shaped articles supported from the table top sections may be embracingly engaged.

Abstract: A pair of upper and lower relatively rotatable collar members are mounted on the upstanding neck portion of a bicycle from which the handlebars supported and which is rotatable relative to the frame of the bicycle with the front fork assembly of the bicycle about an upstanding axis concentric with the neck portion. The collar members are slidable along and rotatable relative to the neck portion and interconnected against axial shifting. The frame of the bicycle includes a pull cable actuated rear wheel brake and the handlebar of the bicycle includes a shiftable pull cable actuator. A first pull cable section is operatively connected between the rear wheel brake and the lower collar member and a second pull cable section is operatively connected between the brake actuator and the upper collar member.

Abstract: A rectangular mounting plate is provided for mounting on the outer surface of a vehicle bumper in slightly spaced relation relative thereto and in the usual license plate mounting location. The mounting plate includes structure for supporting a license plate therefrom in position overlying the outerface of the mounting plate and a support plate is provided including structure defining opposing channels extending along opposite marginal portions thereof in which the corresponding marginal portions of the mounting plate are slidingly receivable, whereby the support plate may be slidingly engaged over the mounting plate. Further, the support and mounting plates include structure for releasably retaining the support plate in positions supported from the mounting plate in substantially full registry therewith and the support plate includes outstanding hitch structure to which the hitch construction on the forward end of the trailer tongue may be removably universally coupled.

Abstract: An elongated buoyant body is provided having opposite longitudinal sides and fore and aft ends. The body includes a rear vertically extending and rearwardly opening recess formed therein spaced inwardly of the rear ends of said sides and of a width to receive a prone snorkler therein. A central elongated handgrip bar is supported from the body in the forward portion of the recess and is adjustable longitudinally of the body. The rear end of the body supports a forwardly opening U-shaped structure therefrom which projects rearwardly of the body and includes a rear crosspiece from which an outboard trolling motor may be mounted.

Abstract: A balance board structure for recreation or exercising use comprises a roller-supported foot platform having the roller positively retained in a frame under the platform by a retention pin extending through the roller into guide channels formed in opposed longitudinal side members of the frame. In use, the roller is manipulated along the frame by a person standing on the foot platform and the pin prevents separation of the components, for example during transport, or when the user falls off of the foot platform.

Abstract: A holder for rolls of paper and the like comprises a frame of rod-like material formed into a loop on which the roll may be held by resiliently flexing one of the loop arms toward the other. The loop has a headed end portion over which the roll is manipulated when pushing it onto the frame or removing it from the frame. The other arm of the loop extends cantilever-fashion from a support and is provided with a brace, while the first arm terminates in a free end adjacent the support. The holder may be provided in single or double-loop models and may have fittings such as a lock, a cigarette lighter, or a night light.

Abstract: An elongated work support comprising a table is provided and includes three side-by-side work stations extending longitudinally thereof. A first work station extends centrally along the table and includes a rotary support at one end of the table from which cutting structure is supported for adjustable shifting generally radially of the axis of rotation of the rotary support. The cutting station further includes support structure for stationary mounting a drive shaft tube in position concentric with the axis of rotation of the rotary support and with one end portion of the tube positioned relative to the cutting structure for cutting of an end member from the tube. The other end of the table includes drive shaft end member and tube end engaging structure relatively shiftable lengthwise of the table whereby an end member may be separated from an associated tube end.

Abstract: A well pumping unit for use in association with an oil well, water well or the like having a downhole pump operated by a reciprocating pump rod with the pumping unit including a pair of large diameter rotatable wheels independently supported from upstanding supports on a deck, platform or skid with the wheels being interconnected by a pin to which a cable for operating the pump rod is attached. The cable is entrained over a series of pulleys and anchored to a supporting structure with one of the pulleys being a traveling pulley having a cable attached thereto extending over a head pulley and connected with the pump rod for reciprocating the pump rod when the wheels are rotated. The pin interconnecting the wheels is received in one of a plurality of radially spaced pairs of openings to enable the stroke of the pump to be varied by varying the radial position of the pin in relation to the rotational axis of the wheels.

Abstract: A method of decontaminating an impoundment in which waste-water and sludge from a pressure wood treating plant or other industry is stored by constructing a treatment unit in a portion of the lagoon or impoundment, pumping clean water into the treatment unit, adding the sludge to the treatment unit, adding a mixture of mutant bacteria, nutrients, and emulsifiers to the treatment unit, continuously aerating the mixture in the treatment unit, and analyzing samples taken from the treatment unit at regular intervals until the waster water and sludge are substantially free of detectable hazardous contituents.

Abstract: An adaptor is disclosed for use with an anesthesia mask to allow an endotracheal tube and a fiberoptic laryngoscope to be passed through the mask while a patient is being ventilated under general anesthesia. The adaptor comprises a T-shaped member, one limb of which is connected to conventional anesthesia equipment and the other limb of which has a soft, flexible cover with a central opening through which the endotracheal tube and fiberoptic laryngoscope are passed. The flexibility of the cover allows endotracheal tubes of different diameter to be accommodated in the opening, and when the mask is not being used for intubation, the opening in the cover may be obturated by a plug. The adaptor may also include a further plug having a throughbore for insertion in the free end of the endotracheal tube to seal around the laryngoscope.

Abstract: A vertically elongated, hollow and lightweight housing including top and bottom walls and a plurality of interconnected sidewall portions extending between and connecting the top and bottom walls is provided. At least one of the sidewall portions has indicia thereon indicating a winning bingo game situation and the bottom wall includes a central opening formed therein about which a depending tubular neck integral with the bottom wall is disposed. An elongated wand is also provided including upper and lower ends and a mid-length portion extending between and connecting the upper and lower ends. The wand is slidingly telescopingly received through the neck and the upper and lower ends are slightly diametrically enlarged in relation to the mid-length portion of the wand. The upper and lower ends are tightly slidingly receivable through the neck and the mid-length portion of the wand is freely slidable through the neck.

Abstract: A mounting frame is provided including first and second relatively stationarily located support portions disposed on opposite sides of an upstanding reference plane. The first support portion includes a horizontal tabletop for supporting a workpiece and the second portion includes a base guidingly supported from the frame for rectilinear shifting along a horizontal path paralleling the plane, a vertical column vertically shiftable relative to the base, a mount carried by an upper portion of the column and router support structure for supporting a router in horizontal position with its output shaft disposed normal to the aforementioned reference plane and projecting toward the latter. The mount is supported from the upper end of the column for rectilinear shifting in a path normal to the reference plane.

Abstract: An ice machine pump rebuild kit which enables a repair person to replace the electric motor for the pump and rebuild the pump by providing a kit which enables the drive motor and pump impeller to be replaced from a minimum inventory of replacement components. The kit includes a plurality of pump impellers constructed of plastic material having sufficient rigidity but yet enough flexibility to enable the impeller to slip over and frictionally engage the motor shaft with the impeller shank including a V-shaped slot oriented radially therein to enable the impeller shank to expand to receive and frictionally grip the motor shaft in a secure manner.

Abstract: A vertically inclined engine low floor bus in which the prime mover for the bus is a rear engine oriented above the rear axle of the bus in a vertically inclined position with the transmission assembly being connected to the rear axle through a gear transfer case closely adjacent the front of the axle to enable the floor of the bus to be constructed at a lower position than arrangements in which the floor must be oriented vertically above the upper limits of movement of the rear axle assembly. Orienting the engine in this position also enables the overall height of the bus to be less than conventional while maintaining desired passenger compartment height and further enables the wheel base of the bus to be increased without increasing the overall length of the bus.

Abstract: This invention relates to a new and distinct variety of pear tree (Variety 69) which is useful as a size-controlling pear rootstock. The new variety originated as a single seedling selected from a large group of pear seedlings which were grown from open-pollinated seed. This seed was harvested from Old Home pear trees (Pryus communis) growing in an isolated planting with Farmingdale pollinizers. Pear varieties grown on the understock of this new rootstock clone are approximately 75% of the size of like pear trees grown on Domestic Bartlett (Pyrus communis) seedling rootstocks. This "semi-dwarfing" selection can be easily increased by hard and softwood cuttings. It has proven to be graft-compatible with all major commercially grown pear varieties. It was selected for its non-rootsuckering habit, its resistance to the Fireblight disease and its high tolerance of the Pear Decline disease. It has also proven to be hardy, early bearing, and well anchored in all areas and in all soil types where it was tested.
